STATEMENTS
In my everyday life, and particularly with the Belgium-Wallonia chapter of the ISOC, I seek to facilitate and support the continuing evolution of the Internet. I consider it as the best education and communication infrastructure. I commit myself to educate the public about technology and the Internet, and to promote regional and geographical diversity through a multicultural Internet.
Therefore, I seek to promote, develop, grow, encourage or ensure:
continuing growth and evolution of the Internet ;
better information AND education for all ;
better administration, management, and utilization of the Internet ;
emerging technologies, including IPv6 and peer-to-peer networks, and their societal impacts.
When dealing with ordinary users, I invest myself as an ICT expert. I commit myself to informing, educating, and accompanying them towards the future.
When dealing with ICT experts, I invest myself as an ordinary user. I commit myself to preventing technological errors, loss of control, and digital divide.
I am ready to invest myself to bring these values and principles to life, or at least to speak out for them.
Sincerely,
Eric Tomson
